Water supply, equipment and exploration

The team at Minerales San Hilario has been working on water supply ahead of the dry season. There are also updates on equipment for heavy-machinery repairs, exploration of an additional pit area, and a drilling rig being prepared for shipment from China.

Preparing water supply for the dry season

Work has been carried out to set up an intermediate reservoir where water can settle and be treated. The aim is to keep more water available for use during the dry season.

The team has also worked on modernizing the channel that carries water back into the operation. Both jobs are part of the site’s work on recirculating its water supply.

A lathe for heavy-machinery repairs

A heavy-duty lathe has been delivered and is now being installed. It is intended for repair work on the heavy machinery used at the concession.

The reason for bringing in the machine is straightforward: the team wants to reduce the cost of those repairs. Installation is still underway.

Studying an additional pit area

The team continues to study an additional pit area through test pitting. Digging these test pits lets them examine the ground directly as they assess the area.

This remains exploration work. The update concerns the study of a possible additional pit, rather than the start of extraction there.

Drilling rig awaiting shipment

A drilling rig has been manufactured in China and is being prepared for shipment. It has yet to arrive at the concession.

For now, the water works, lathe installation and test pitting are the activities progressing at the site. The drilling rig is at an earlier stage, with shipment still being prepared.
