Operational Update: Water Management, Exploration and Site Infrastructure

Work is continuing across several operational areas at the Minerales San Hilario concession. The current activities focus on improving process-water circulation, refining the boundaries of a new pit area, increasing access to sands at the existing pit, and strengthening on-site maintenance capacity.

Improving process-water circulation

A diversion channel is being constructed at the tailings discharge point to improve the site’s recirculating water supply.

The channel is intended to support the movement and reuse of process water within the washing area. Construction remains in progress.

Test pitting at the new pit area

Exploration of a new pit area is underway using test pits.

This work is being carried out to obtain more precise field information and better define the boundaries of the prospective pit. The activity is focused on delineation and does not yet establish a final production area or confirm future extraction volumes.

Increased stripping at the existing pit

Stripping activity has been increased at the existing pit.

The work involves removing overlying material to improve access to the sands scheduled for excavation. Its purpose is to support an increase in the volume of sands available for extraction as operations progress.

Repair area completed

Construction and setup of a dedicated repair area near the sand-washing site have been completed.

The new area provides a designated location for repair and maintenance work close to the processing activity.

Together, these activities reflect the current operational focus at the concession: improving supporting infrastructure, refining the next potential working area, and preparing the existing pit for increased sand excavation.
